New project

Nostalgia for the Present is a book proposal. It tells about Tagharghist, a small Berber village in the Moroccan High Atlas. It provides a unique view into a community of contemporary agro-pastoralists, and reveals the everyday lives of Muslims at a moment when this is vitally necessary. The dialogue between the ideas of anthropologist David Crawford and the eye of photographer Bart Deseyn leads to an appealing balance between images and text.
